Work done while at Gensler
Hayes Boone | Law Office
For the New York office of Haynes Boone, we were commissioned to create a custom installation that would immediately convey the firm’s identity as a forward-thinking legal powerhouse rooted in deep knowledge and tradition. The result is a dramatic parametric fin wall that transforms the lobby into an immersive spatial experience. Rising more than seven feet tall and spanning the primary lobby wall, the installation consists of tens of individually shaped fiberglass fins arranged in a fluid, undulating composition. The form draws directly from the visual language of an open book: the fins fan outward and layer like pages, some densely stacked, others gently separated to suggest turning leaves. As visitors move through the space, the wall appears to ripple and shift, revealing new perspectives and depths that mirror the layered complexity of legal reasoning itself.
